009ad: 1884 Print: Forest Destruction in Adirondacks. This large, hand colored print is from the Dec. 6 1884 issue of Harper's Weekly. The print is titled "Destruction of Forests in the Adirondacks." It consists of five individual images, each with its own title: 1) Dead Timber, Mount Maxon; 2) Mount Maxon; 3) Dead Water, Schroon River; 4) Coffer-Dam, Lower Works, at Tehawus, Hudson River; and 5) Indian Lake, Overflowed Lands. This print is in very good condition. There is some light staining in the margins, but the image is not affected. 16' x 22" $60
