1943 Cadillac WWII Planes. An ad which recalls the progress of the company, typical of the many others, which turned a massive consumer products
 economy into the
"Arsenal of Democracy."

Flying Fortress B-17 - 1982 Color print from a painting of that year by Teresa Stokes showing the B-17 Flying Fortress plane. As late as 1939, the Air Corps had only 13 Flying Fortresses. Later during the war, a great armada of them conducted the daylight
raids all over Europe.

1944 Corsair, Vought F4U-1 color lithograph. The Vought F4U-1 Corsair was one of the greatest combat aircraft in World War II. The prototype was the first single engined US warplane to exceed 400 mph and outperformed all other American aircraft
at that time.

1944 North American BT-14 black and white lithograph. The BT-14 is an all-metal military trainer developed from the North American BT-9. The BT-14 provided thousands of cadets
 with basic pilot training.

944 Commando, Curtiss C-46 color lithograph. The US Army became interested in the aircraft for its cargo/transport capabilities. The Commando entered service with the United States
Army Air Force
in July 1942.

1944 Excaliber, Sikorsky JRS-1 black and white lithograph. This 15 passenger flying boat was used by the United States Army, Navy, and Marine corps throughout World War II.

1944 Recruit, Ryan PT-22 black and white lithograph. These monoplanes were used as primary trainers for the US Air Force due to the fact that the newer combat aircraft coming off the lines
were all monoplanes.
