Dall. Dall was an explorer whose descriptions of the Alaska Territory were the most accurate of the time. The illustrations are views of Alaskan landscape and natives, taken from Dall’s book. Interesting chart from an 1826 Alaskan coastal survey, published in 1831 by Colburn and Bentley. Title is "Chart of Part of the North West Coast of America, from Point Rodney to Point Barron, by Captain F.W. Beechey R.N., F.R.S. in His Majesty’s Ship Blossom." Shows an area from the Polar Sea in the north to the Behring Strait in the south. Also includes engraved images of coastal areas and a small inset map of islands.
