107cl: 1861: Forts Moultrie, Sumter, Charleston. Hand colored engravings from the Jan. 12, 1861 issue of Harper’s Weekly, showing scenes at forts Moultrie and Sumter on the eve of the Civil War. Engraving at left is titled "Sketches of Fort Moultrie, by an Officer of Major Anderson’s Command." The two engravings at right are titled "Entry of Major Anderson’s Command Into Fort Sumter on Christmas Night, 1860;" and "Occupation of Castle Pinckney by the Charleston Militia, December 26, 1860." Between the two images, there is part of an article titled "The Revolution at Charleston." 16x22 in. $100

109cl: 1925 Sheet Music: Carolina Sweetheart. This is the sheet music to a song titled "Carolina Sweetheart," by Billy James. Cover features a color lithograph of a beautiful southern belle holding flowers. An inset photo of Joseph Knecht and his Waldorf Astoria Hotel Orchestra is in the bottom left corner. The cover to this music would look great in a frame! 10x12 in. $35



110cl: 1887 Charleston South Carolina Earthquake. Hand colored engraving from Harper’s Weekly, titled "Charleston: Celebration of her Recovery from the Effects of the Earthquake." Shows a street scene in the downtown area, which is draped with flags and festive decorations. 8x11 in. $30



111cl: 1860 Charleston Democratic Convention. Engraving and article from Harper’s Weekly, pertaining to the contentious Democratic nominating convention which was held in Charleston. Engraving is titled "Delegates to the Democratic Nominating Convention Leaving the Charleston Hotel on the Morning of April 23, 1860." Angry Southern delegates are shown walking out of the hotel. Above the illustration, an article chronicles the travels of a mythical Northern delegate who traveled south for the convention. 11x16 in. $30

116cl: 1865: Fort Sumter After Union Capture. Two large, hand colored views from Leslie’s Weekly, showing the interior and exterior of Fort Sumter after it was re-captured by Union troops. Very impressive print, which would look great in a frame. There are a few small spots of foxing on the image, but overall condition is excellent. $120



200cl: 1878: Cotton in Charleston South Carolina. This is an authentic water colored engraving from 1878--over 100 years old!! It contains two scenes showing cotton being loaded onto ships in the port of Charleston, South Carolina. Between the images there is part of an article describing the US cotton industry. Size is 11x16 in. $50



201cl: Charleston South Carolina Waterfront Scene. Nicely hand colored engraving from Frank Leslie’s Illustrated Newspaper dated September 25, 1880. The South in 1880 - East Battery, the Promenade on the Southern End of East Bay Street, Charleston. One of the best 19th century views of the city! 11x16 in. $90

The map contains two images: Savannah on the left, and Charleston on the right. Each city is divided into wards, with every ward colored separately. Names of all streets are given, and the locations of parks, railroad lines and major buildings are shown as well. Entire map is surrounded by a decorative border. 16x18 in. $120
