200ga: RARE Old Map of Savannah GA, Charleston SC. These two engraved, hand colored maps on one page are from the 1860 edition of J.H. Colton’s world atlas. The map on the left shows the city of Savannah Georgia. On the right is a map of Charleston, South Carolina. On both maps, the cities are divided into wards, each of which is colored with original hand coloring. Locations of prominent buildings are shown, as well as streets and railway lines. A notation on the Savannah map gives a short history of the city. The entire image is surrounded by a decorative border. It is in excellent condition. 14x17 in. $200 |
