001geam: 1868 German Schutzenfest Scene. Antique engraving from Harper's Weekly, titled "The Schutzenfest: The Procession Passing Through Union Square." Shows a scene from the side of the street, where spectators are watching the parade pass by. 11x16 in. $30



002geam: 1874 Germans Coming to America. Large engraving from Harper's Weekly, titled "From the Old World to the New: German Emigrants for New York Embarking on a Hamburg Steamer." This image captures the confusion and emotions of the moment, as families leave to start a new life in America. 16x22 in. $60
 



003geam: 1883 German American Festival. Engraved images from Harper's Weekly, showing the celebration of the first landing of Germans in America. The festival was held in Germantown, Pennsylvania, and included a large parade. 11x16 in. $30



 
004geam: 1905 Sheet Music: The German Band. This is the piano music for a song titled "The Leader of the German Band," by Edward Madden and Theodore Morse. Brightly colored cover shows marching band members playing their instruments. All the pages are included, although the cover is no longer attached. Would look great in a frame! 11x14 in. $20



005geam: 1884 German Americans for Grover Cleveland. Engraved scenes from Harper's Weekly, showing a political rally held by German Americans in support of Grover Cleveland. The rally was held at the New York Academy of Music. 11x16 in. $30



006geam: 1871 German Unity Celebration. Large engraving from Leslie's Weekly, titled "New York City: The Grand Jubilee, April 10th. Carnival Held by the Germans of America, Celebrating Unity and the Conclusion of Peace in the Fatherland. The engraving shows scenes from the parade, which celebrated the creation of a single German state and Germany's victory over France in the Franco Prussian War. 16x22 in. $60



007geam: 1865 German Singing Societies in New York. Engraved image from Harper's Weekly, titled "Reception of the German Singing Societies at the City Hall Park, July 15, 1865." Shows a nighttime scene in front of City Hall, where German Americans have gathered with signs and torches. 11x16 in. $30



 
008geam: 1884 German American Society in New York. Hand colored, engraved scenes of the German American Society's hall in New York City. From the German language edition of Leslie's Weekly, which was published for the many German-speaking readers in the United States. 11x16 in. $40



009geam: 1868 German Sangerfest Societies, Chicago. Engraving from Harper's Weekly, titled "The German Sangerfest Societies in Wabash Avenue Rink, Chicago." Shows many people gathered for a celebration inside the festively decorated hall. 8x11 in. $20


011geam: German hand colored lithograph published circa 1850 showing a bucolic setting including a cabin, stream, forest and mountains. The title is "Ansiedlers Blockhaus in Nordamerica". With vibrant colors and extremely fine detail this lithograph draws you in for a closer look. 9x7 in. $30
