The atlas was a compilation of the original maps used by both sides during the Civil War. Color lithographed map from the Atlas to Accompany the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies, published in the 1890s by the US government. The atlas was a compilation of the original maps used by both sides during the Civil War. This sheet contains maps of areas along North Carolina’s Atlantic coast. It also contains a diagram of a lookout tower, and a cross-section view of a boat filled with gunpowder which was exploded next to Fort Fisher. 17x28 in. $80 |

200nc: 1833 Map of North Carolina South Carolina. This wonderful, extremely detailed map was published in 1833 by the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge (SDUK). It is titled "North America, Sheet XI, Parts of North and South Carolina." The map shows approximately three quarters of each state, westward from the eastern shore. State and county borders are all clearly marked with original outline coloring. The locations of cities, towns and villages are shown throughout the area. Roads, canals, forts, and geographical features are shown as well. This map is in very good condition, with no stains on the image. The left margin is trimmed close to the map border, but the border is not affected. 14x16 in. SOLD
