002occ: 1885 Spiritualism in New England. Engraving from the Oct. 31, 1885 issue of Leslie’s Weekly, titled "Spiritualism in New England. An Evening with a Medium in Boston. A Message from Another World." The Spiritualist movement was very popular in the United States during the late 1800s, with many followers believing that ghosts could be contacted through "mediums" who had special powers to talk with the dead. 11x16 in.

004occ: 1913 Sheet Music: At the Devil’s Ball. Sheet music to the song "At the Devil’s Ball," by Irving Berlin. The music is incomplete: two pages are missing. But the cover is bright red and quite eye-catching. It would look great in a frame! 10x14 in. $30



007occ: 1889 Engraving: The Haunted Chamber. Hand colored, engraved image based on a painting by J. Nash. Shows a man in his nightshirt staring at a glowing area on the other side of his bedroom. From the Summer 1889 issue of The Graphic. 11x16 in. $40



008occ: 1854 Palm Reading: Chiromancy. Article with engraved illustrations, from an 1854 issue of Gleason’s Pictorial. The article describes the art of palm reading, and explains the meanings of the lines on the human hand. 11x16 in. $30



009occ: 1906 Sheet Music Cover: Dance of the Demon. Lithographed cover to the sheet music for "Dance of the Demon," by Eduard Holst. Title and author’s name are printed in bright red. In the background, demons with pitchforks are dancing gleefully. There are several tears along the edges of this item, and a few spots where very small pieces have been torn from the edge. The tears would be almost unnoticeable if it were matted and framed, however. 10x13 in. $30



010occ: 1889 Fortune Teller in New York City. Engraved scene from Frank Leslie’s Illustrated Newspaper, titled "Street Fortune Telling: A Scene on Fourteenth Street, Near Sixth Avenue, New York City." Two women and a young girl are shown talking eagerly with the fortune teller, who is standing next to a cage with several small birds inside. 11x16 in. $30



011occ: 1835 Ghost Story. This is the January 17th 1835 issue of the New York Mirror, "A Weekly Journal, Devoted to Literature and the Fine Arts." Featured on the front page, and continued on the following pages, is a story titled "The Ghost Murderer" by William Dunlap. This is an original edition of the journal; NOT a reproduction! 10x14 in. $30



012occ: 1881 Ghost Story Telling Scene. Engraved image from Harper’s Weekly, titled "A Ghost Story." A group of people is shown gathered around a fireplace at night, listening to a ghost story. Above them, a ghostly apparition is coming down the stairs. Beneath the image is a poem which describes the scene. 11x16 in.

013occ: 1895: Colonial Ghost Visits Old Home. Engraved scene from Harper’s Weekly, circa 1895, titled "The Return of the First Owner." Shows the ghost of a colonial gentleman standing in dismay by the building where he lived a century earlier. The building has been turned into a boarding house, with immigrant workers and poverty-stricken people living inside. 11x16 in. $30



014occ: 1877: Fortune Telling in Bavaria Germany. Engraving from the Feb. 3, 1877 issue of The Graphic, titled "Fortune Telling in the Bavarian Tyrol." Shows a group of people seated around a table listening to an older woman who is reading their fortunes in a deck of cards. 16x22in. $50
