017sail: 1889 The Canoeing Season.-Sailing and Paddling Canoes-Their Appurtanances and Uses. This hand colored engraving shows 9 views: Knickerbocker Canoe Club, paddling shadow canoe, sail rigging and false keel, canoeist in uniform, shadow canoe skiff rigged, air tight racing canoe-showing inside steering gear, canoe under goose wing sail, lateen rigged canoe and fun for the ladies-a ducking for the commodeore.
