201sv: 1855 Colton Map: Savannah GA, Charleston SC. Beautifully engraved, hand-colored map from the 1st edition of Colton’s world atlas, printed in 1855. The map contains two images: Savannah Georgia on the left, and Charleston SC on the right. Each city is divided into wards, with every ward colored separately. Names of all streets are given, and the locations of parks, railroad lines and major buildings are shown as well. A paragraph in the upper right corner gives a short history of the city of Savannah. Entire map is surrounded by a decorative border. Excellent condition. 16x18 in. $120
