U.S. Mexican War Forts, 1858 - Hand colored lithographed map by Siebert and Kogge, Washington, D.C. depicts "Lines of March" passed over by the Troops of the United States and the Mexican War, showing the United States, Central America and the West Indies. Details a line from New York to Havana to Panama then to San Francisco. Lines include the National Road, marches up the Mississippi River to St. Louis; and much travel, showing the forts, camps and barracks in Texas; Forts include a march from Fort Yuma to Pimas, Tucson and Fort Buchanan near the border.
Condition: Very good with slight folding creases. This map is unusual and rare.

RARE Revolutionary War: British Surrender. Hand colored, engraved scene from the Oct. 22, 1881 issue of Harper's Weekly, titled "The Surrender of Cornwallis. The English general is shown reluctantly approaching the American officers, preparing to hand his sword to them.

Very nice chromolithograph from Kurz & Allison c1890. Battle of Monmouth - June 28th 1778. Revolutionary War print showing the infamous "Molly Pitcher" helping to load the cannon after her husband fell from heat stroke. Mary Ludwig Hays McCauley was given her nickname because she would bring pitchers of cool water from nearby streams or wells
to the thirsty soldiers.
