1861 Hand colored wood engraved rare early view with article from the Illustrated London News, titled "The American Pony Express, En Route from the Missouri River to San Francisco." Shows a rider galloping through the prairie, with Indians chasing behind him. Beneath the image is part of an interesting article describing how the
Pony Express operated.

1875 Hand colored double-page wood engraving by W.J. Palmer, Sc. which was featured in the September 11, 1875 issue of Harper's Weekly and is titled, "Driving Cattle Into A Corral in the Far West." Image shows cowboys in a cattle drive herding their cattle into a corral. There is a small mend in upper right corner on the margin.
