View of the St Lawrence Indian Encampment Currier and Ives 1838-1872 A wonderful lithograph of the St Lawrence River with Indian Encampments and several canoes carrying settlers, with evergreen trees on cliffs on the river with small islands. Currier & Ives made many famous American lithographs marked with their name from 1857 to 1907. The mark used on the print included the street address in New York City, and in this case the date of the year of the original issue would be between 1838-1872. Condition: Good on heavy stock, no aging marks except for some water light marks on edges of wide margins.
