RARE Antique Islamic Mecca Pilgrimage Scenes. Old engraved scenes from the Dec. 23, 1865 issue of Harper's Weekly, titled "The Pilgrimage to Mecca." The image in the center shows an aerial view of the city of Mecca. Images around the edges show pilgrims on their way to the city.

1794 D’Anville Map: Iran, Persian Empire. Beautifully hand colored, engraved map, drawn by D’Anville and published in 1794 by Laurie & Whittle. Title is "A New Map of the Empire of Persia, from Mons. D’Anville, First Geographer to the Most Christian King." An area covering roughly the location of modern Iran is shown, divided into smaller, individually colored provinces. Cities and towns are marked, as well as major roads and geographical features. The map title is surrounded by a decorative frame. This map is in great condition, and would look wonderful in a frame!
