200nd: RARE Old West US Map: North Dakota is Lincoln. This map of the Western United States was printed circa 1885 by William Collins, Sons & Co. Of particular interest on this map is the Dakota Territory. It is divided into Northern and Southern portions, but the names are different. South Dakota is simply called "Dakota," while North Dakota is called "Lincoln." Cities, major roads and geographical features are shown throughout this map. It is in excellent condition, with no tears,
stains or other blemishes.

Kansas, Nebraska and Colorado & Dacotah, Mitchell 1861 - An engraved and hand colored map 1866 map of Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado and Dakota, by S. A. Mitchell with beautiful decorative border. Wyoming, though territorially included, was not incorporated as an official territory until 1868 - here it is noted as 'Attached to Dacotah.' Color coded according to county and territory. Counties cover only the eastern and southern portions of Nebraska and the eastern third of Kansas. Shows various proposed railroads, geographic features, American Indian tribes, and gold deposits as well as providing details on towns, counties, and other political data. This map did not appear in the 1860 first edition of Mitchell's New General Atlas. Rather, it was introduced in 1861 following the formation of Colorado territory. Condition: Very good normal aging color around and some foxing on margin edges with small water stain on outside left margin.
